Being in the Greater Seattle area, it's always difficult to predict what the weather is going to be on the day of the wedding. Especially during the winter time around December, chances are it's going to rain at some point on your wedding day. But rest assured, your photograph is gonna turn out even more beautiful and poetic. I have plenty of couples who have asked me what we are going to to if it starts raining, and I usually respond, "well I love it when it rains!" Well unless it's pouring. Otherwise, the rain always makes everything so much better. It just adds an element of romance into the images.
It was a gloomy day in Kenmore, Washington. Allison and Zach got married at the magnificent chapel of Bastyr Univeristy. It was the perfect decision because hardly any indoor venues can outdo the stunning view inside the chapel. When we moved to the church in Monroe, it felt like Christmas as we were surrounded by an enchanted forest. As soon as it started raining towards the end of the night, I immediately told Zach and Allison it's time to go out and have some fun. We were so lucked out as there was actually a clear umbrella hanging around. We picked it up and went out for about 3 minutes. The artificial light from behind the couple lit through the umbrella and created an amazing fall out from above their heads. With their cute expressions they always have for each other, these two love birds cannot look any better than this!
