Fine Art Wedding Photographer Seattle
This picture is a reflection of one of the many framed photographs at Buca di Beppo Restaurant. I was inspired by the works of Susan Stripling and Ryan Schembri, two of the renowned wedding photographers from New York City and Australia.
Buca di Beppo, located in the South Lake Union neighborhood of Seattle, just exudes the characteristic Italian romantic atmosphere. When you walk into the restaurant, you'll immediately notice the walls covered with collages of photographs. As a photographer, I knew this would produce some amazing shots. But I also knew it came with its own set of challenges.
This photograph required a lot of technique and patience. First of all, we had to find a photo that spoke to my bride and groom - something that reflected their personalities. There were more than 500 framed pictures to choose from. Second of all, I had to make sure I can fit the couple’s reflection within the frame, while still keeping the focus on the couple. Last but not least, I had to control the lighting in the dimly lit Buca di Beppo. In the end, everything turned out perfectly. With the subtlety of the couple in the original picture, and the actual bride and groom in the background, it created an elegant, timeless, and creative fine art photography. It was undeniably one of the most difficult images I have ever produced, but I am extremely happy with how it turned out.
