Filipino Wedding Photography

No Filipino wedding would be complete without the traditional money dance, during which guests line up to pin money (or as I once witnessed, a Jack in the Box coupon) on sashes worn by the bride and groom - followed by some dancing, of course.

As guests waited in line to give their blessings at Christine and Jonathan's wedding, Jonathan's brother, Joseph, called me over to the other side of the dance floor. "Be ready. We're gonna pull out the money guns," he said. I couldn’t wait to set up my lighting in the appropriate positions as I anticipated dollar bills flying through the air, filling up the entire dance floor.

Once Joseph got to the front, we were ready for the big moment. Several people surrounded the unsuspecting couple and pulled out the money guns, showering them with dollar bills as though rain was pouring down from the ceiling.

I really couldn't be happier with how the photo turned out. As you can see, the elation radiating off of the couple and their loved ones made for a spectacular photo - and even more importantly - an incredibly joyous occasion.
