This picture is a reflection from one of the many framed photograph at Buca di Beppo Restaurant in South Lake Union, Seattle, WA. If you've been to this restaurant, you'd know there's a huge variety of photographs framed all over the walls. It's filled with Italian culture and romantic atmosphere. This photograph is inspired by Susan Stripling and Ryan Schembri, two of the most famous wedding photographers based out of New York City and Australia.
This photograph requires a lot of techniques and patience. First of all, we had to find a photo frame that truly speaks to my bride and groom and something that suits them well. There were probably more than 500 frames to choose from inside the restaurant. Second of all, the picture also needed to have a suitable spot for fit the couple in in frame. And within that fitting spot I'd need to be able to focus on the couple on my camera. Last but not least, I had to control the lighting in such a dark lighting situation. In the end, everything turned out perfectly. With the subtlety of the couple in the original picture, and the actual bride and groom in the background, it created a true elegant, timeless, and creative fine art photograph. It was undeniably one of the most difficult images I have ever produced.
