Precious Candid Moment Wedding Photography

Let me share one of the photos I am extremely proud to share as a wedding photographer. This was from the 2nd wedding I have ever shot in my wedding photography career. Sure, if you examine this photo closely, it may not be the best in terms of quality and exposure. But if you look beyond that, this is everything I have always strived for as a wedding photographer.

I stand by this photograph and could not be more proud of the candid moment I have captured between the bride and her mom. The emotion, the anticipation, and the excitement truly unfold as the bride prepares to walk down the ceremony with her mom (and her dad too) to see her husband-to-be for the first time. I love that you can see the reflection of the mom’s expression of pure joy and adornment as her daughter - her little girl all grown up - is about to embark on one of the most significant journeys of her life.

I love how Abigail’s and the mom’s reflection face each other. It shows the true bond between a mother and a daughter. It was such a beautiful candid moment.

After I delivered the images, I found out Abigail had actually put this picture as her profile on Facebook. That was when I realized how much this photo meant to her. A picture says a thousand words, and this is the best example of the saying. I was so glad I was able to provide such a service to Abigail and James. And to see her putting so much value on this photograph absolutely meant a lot to me as well. I feel like I have truly accomplished something that created a lasting value for my client. This is what keeps me going as a wedding photographer. I want to preserve more of these moments.
