Destination Wedding Photography

As a photographer, you're always learning no matter how skilled or successful you are. This photograph was taken at a model shoot with Michael Anthony who's a renowned photographer based in Southern California. I remember vividly how exhausted I was when I flew over. The shoot was on a Sunday, and I was shooting a wedding the day before. I wrapped up the wedding in Bremerton around midnight, took the ferry back to Seattle, then went straight to a friend's birthday party. As I got back home and started to pack it was 2 o'clock in the morning. I basically did not sleep and took my 5am flight to Los Angeles. However, the trip was absolutely worth it! I have heard a lot about Michael Anthony for a long time. When I saw his work, I told myself I definitely have to meet him. For the next 2 days I have learnt so much in every aspect of photography and running a business.

Vasquez Rocks is notorious for restricting photographers from commercial shoots. Although our shoot is not considered one, but there was still a possibility that we'd get kicked out. Fortunately left at a perfect timing. As we wrapped up and drove away, we saw the patrol driving by and ready to kick everybody out. I was so glad that I was able to go to a model shoot where the location was as breathtaking as this view. I only wish we had a landscape view like this back in the Pacific Northwest!

Location: 10700 Escondido Canyon Rd, Agua Dulce, CA 91350.
